Ревью на книгу Михаила Куницкого “Путешествие на четырёх лапах“

 

Who of the children did not dream about a dog?  But more than that, (I will confess you, adults as well!) they would like to know what their loyal friend thinks about, what he speaks about on his doggy language.

A children’s writer Mikhail Kunitskiy helps to reveal these secrets in his wonderful book Puteshestviye Na Chetarokh Lapakh (Travelling On Four Paws), because its main hero is the most real and ordinary dog living in the most real and ordinary yard with his beloved hostess Nastya and her friendly family. Chernysh, so is the name of our hero, tells us about the adventures from his childhood when he was still a little fancy curious puppy. Willingly sharing their discoveries, descriptions of the yard, friends and adventures he helps young readers to explore the world. He invites them to be surprised, rejoice, live fun and take care of your loved ones.

The story’s hero Chernysh calls an encyclopedia as a” collection of knowledge”. The book after Mikhail Kunitskiy could be also called so with full responsibility, because travelling together with a dog all over the world, young readers can get to know different places including Africa and Antarctica. They can learn a lot of interesting and informative things about different animals both domestic and wild ones — as many as twenty-six representatives of the fauna! They will have time to look at the Earth from the height of a helicopter; fearlessly dive into the depths of the ocean to get out of the bathyscaphe a mysterious underwater world. They will reveal the secrets of such interesting professions as zoologist, oceanologist, veterinarian, diver. Besides, I am sure, in the soul of a little traveler-reader, the desire will definitely be awakened to repeat themselves the glorious Chernysh’s path someday.

It’s very important that the author presents all these discoveries in a language that is understandable and interesting for young readers. Moreover, he nicely uses children’s favoruite riddles and questions, so characteristic of all kids:

“In general, he, like a wizard, is full of riddles and it’s not easy for me to accept such a fast competitor, it turns out that I’m not the best watchman in the world!” Guess who this Cherntsh is talking about? The author also gives answers to this and other riddles, and he does it unusually – by help of poems which logically and interestingly fit into the general outline of the story. By the way, these poems are very easy to learn them by heart:

 

The puppy growled at the hedgehog:

What kind of animal are you, no arms, no legs?

What are the sharp thorns?

I have never met such a spiteful person.

 

Or another example: what exactly did the puppy mean describing: «the newly appeared mosquito landing, which whitewashed the extinct autumn world outside the window”? And again he shares his joy and answer with our young readers:

 

Look, they are flying, circling

Snowflakes-parachutes.

The whole sky is covered with white lace!

Is winter not joking again?

 

The writer Mikhail Kunitskiy skillfully and interestingly uses various artistic means such as comparisons, unusual images, which undoubtedly help the child to develop imagination and look at the world with different eyes:

“Autumn is when the world turns orange-brown under the paws in the yard”.

“But most of all I like winter. These soft white mosquitoes flying down from the sky and playing hide-and-seek are simply fascinating! Then they circle around the ear, then they sneak up behind trying to catch you off guard, and they force you to chase your own tail.”

Separately, it is worth noting the illustrations for the book, made by Albina Petrova: they very sensitively and accurately reflect the character of all the heroes through the eyes of a child.

But, perhaps, the most important thing in this whole story with Chernysh is the reason that caused all his amazing adventures: one day a faithful puppy found out about the dream of his little mistress, but “I was at a loss and did not know how to help Nastya, how to get her out of this state. But how could I help her if there were no penguins in our yard?” And a little friend on four paws goes in search of these mysterious penguins to bring Nastya joy.

 

 Reading children’s books does not only form a value system for a baby and  helps to get to know the world around you more closely but it also allows you to create, and later strengthen the connection between younger and older relatives. Because it is better to read and you need to be together with your parents, and so that the book brings interest, benefit and a desire to further discover the world. And it is precisely such a book that the story of Mikhail Kunitskiy «Travelling On Four Paws» can become.

 

Кто из детей не мечтал в детстве о собаке? Но ещё больше, пожалуй, (признаюсь по секрету, и взрослые тоже) они хотели бы узнать, о чём же думает их верный друг, что говорит на своём собачьем языке. 

Детский писатель Михаил Куницкий помогает приоткрыть эту тайну в своей замечательной книге «Путешествие на четырёх лапах», потому что главным героем ее является самый настоящий и обыкновенный пёс, живущий в самом обыкновенном дворе со своей любимой хозяйкой Настей и её дружной семьёй. Черныш, так зовут нашего героя, сам рассказывает о приключениях из своего детства, когда он был ещё «маленьким несмышленым любопытным». Охотно делясь своими открытиями, описаниями двора, друзей и приключений, он помогает юным читателям познавать мир, приглашая их вместе с собой удивляться, радоваться, жить весело и заботиться о близких.

Герой истории Черныш называет энциклопедию «сборником знаний». Книгу Михаила Куницкого  можно также с полной ответственностью назвать «сборником знаний», потому что, путешествуя вместе с главным героем по всему свету, юные читатели могут познакомиться с разными местами, включая Африку и Антарктиду; узнать много интересного и познавательного о разных животных, включая и домашних, и диких,  — целых двадцать шесть представителей фауны!  Успеют взглянуть на Землю с высоты вертолёта; бесстрашно погрузятся в глубины океана, чтобы из батискафа открыть для себя таинственный подводный мир. Раскроют секреты таких интересных профессий, как зоолог, океанолог, ветеринар, водолаз. И, уверена, в душе маленького путешественника-читателя обязательно будет разбужено желание когда-нибудь самому повторить славный путь Черныша.

Важно то, что все эти открытия автор преподносит языком, понятным и интересным для юных читателей. Более того, он замечательно использует любимые детьми загадки и вопросы, столь свойственные всем малышам:

«В общем, он, как волшебник, полон загадок и мне нелегко принять такого шустрого конкурента, то, что я, оказывается, не самый лучший сторож в мире!» Угадайте, о ком это говорит Черныш?  Ответы на эту и другие загадки автор тоже даёт и делает это необычно – в стихотворениях, которые логично и интересно вписываются в общую канву истории и, кстати, просты и легки для заучивания:

 

Рычал на ёжика щенок:

Ты что за зверь, ни рук, ни ног?

Какие острые колючки?

Я не встречал подобной злючки.

 

Или вот, например, что именно имел в виду Черныш, описывая: «новоявленный комариный десант, который побелил собою потухший осенний мир за окном»? И снова делится своей радостью-ответом со своими юными читателями:

 

Смотри, летают, кружатся

Снежинки — парашютики.

Все небо в белом кружевце!

Зима опять не шутит ли?

Писатель Михаил Куницкий умело и интересно использует разные художественные средства, например, сравнения, необычные образы, что, несомненно, помогает ребёнку развивать воображение и смотреть на мир другими глазами:

«Осень – это когда на дворе мир под лапами становится оранжево-бурым.».

«Но больше всего мне нравится зима. Эти мягкие белые комарики, слетающие

с неба и играющие в прятки, просто завораживают! То кружатся возле уха,

то подкрадываются сзади, пытаясь тебя застать врасплох, и вынуждают

гоняться за собственным хвостом».

Отдельно стоит отметить иллюстрации к книге, выполненные Альбиной Петровой: они очень чутко и точно отражают характер всех персонажей глазами ребенка. 

Но, пожалуй, самым главным во всей этой истории с Чернышом является причина, которая и вызвала все его удивительные приключения: однажды верный щенок узнал о мечте своей маленькой хозяйки, но: «я был в растерянности и не знал, как помочь Насте, как вывести её из этого состояния. Но как я ей мог помочь, если в нашем дворе не водились пингвины!» И маленький друг на четырёх лапах отправляется на поиски этих загадочных пингвинов, чтобы доставить Насте радость.

Чтение детских книг не только формирует систему ценностей у малыша и помогает ближе познакомиться с окружающим миром, но и позволяет создать, а позже упрочить связь между младшими и старшими родственниками. Потому что читать лучше и нужно вместе с родителями, и чтобы книга приносила интерес, пользу и желание дальше открывать мир. А именно такой книгой и может стать история Михаила Куницкого «Путешествие на четырёх лапах».
